Hmm.Dunno why.I feel like posting about my holiday kelong trip...In case you don't know...a kelong is this wooden house in the middle of the sea.So we went to one in malaysia with my uncle's colleagues .Went to changi village first to eat breakfast then went to the ferry terminal to board the boat that will take us to the malaysia checkpoint..The changi ferry terminal is actually quite out of date...

Then we went to the check point...went to a nearby city to eat...Then boarded the ship to the kelong...Wa...The ship's window's were all spoilt!And it was raining heavily...WE were all drenched.So after what seemed like a long period of time we finally reached.It was still raining!After we settled our sleeping arrangements...we fished!Yes...In the rain.But who cares?We're already wet.Let me tell you...The type of hook you use is veryyyy important in ensuring whether you catch any fish...I fish for 1 hour before realising this...Somemore i casted my reel very far...wanted to catch big fish mah...But never think small hook cannot catch big fish...Sommore the kelong i was in was not in big sea!and I refused to use bait...YOU KNOW WHY?Because the bait is actually fish meat!...The meat was seperated from the bones while the fish was still alive and jumping about!!!!Gross right?

But its not because i never use bait so i cannot catch fish...No!Once i changed the hook...The fish kept biting...Cast near the kelong also fish bite...Anyhow cast...the fish anyhow bite.Haha...Its because i changed to this shiny hook with shining blue threads surrounding it...Fish are attracted mah!And somemore....Most of them are hooked by the mouth!Must be they go bite the hook...

And you know whats the best fish i caught?A grouper!A small one...but nevertheless a grouper!Guess what is the strange thing!Other fishes when caught put up a lot of resistance...But my grouper did not...It was went until i reeled it up that i realised i caught a fish...Haix...but a cruel fate fell upon my grouper...My grouper was one of the several fishes chosen to serve as bait to catch a larger fish....They were hooked by the flesh by a large hook and thrown back into the sea...Some fishes were never seen off again...And some had bite marks on them...So painful...

Thats basically my kelong trip.

Now lets talk about school.School started for two weeks already...I'm finally wearing long pants!!Haha.Upper sec le...OF course have more pressureI'm in311!It totally rocks!Made some new friends!

Hmm...So far i feel that these teachers are very good in teaching!They help me understand the concepts easily...Especially maths...Hmm...i think i should be glad to have mr liu as my chem teacher...He is actually quite a humorous and nice guy...compatible with ms fu.Haha.Our chinese teacher also has an intesting character....She relishes the thought of punishing students...Thats very unique!Haha.Our teachers have all unique teaching ways...

Hmm...But still....I dunno why i always anticipate the end of school...Mabye its beacuse then i can go home and slack.haha

Its a new year...And i look forward to having a great time with 311!

Hmm,today it rained.It always rain on first day of schools!It just like the sky also dun like the thought of us going back to school.haha.Hmm,dunno why...i always wanted to wear long pants...Now that i'm wearing...it doesn't seem that nice anymore...Very hot...Whole day i was sweating...But my class is okay lah...311 rocks!haha

Now...class committe...Haix...i didn't win the vice-chair role...depression....Dunno whether my luck no good or i'm no good...Last year also like that...lose to kit yarn by a few votes...I want cry le...

But at least i'm CIP rep...i'm super enthu abt CIP de...Haha.

Then we hav some games...and a talk...then we were dismissed at 1!Yay...Unfortunately...school normally ends at 2.30...

Ahahah...我回来了！！！！I just came back.Okay lah...not really 'just' i came back on fri...abt 11.First thing i did was visit class blog...See.i l'm such a good member of 211'09.Haha.And...Why nobody post abt chalet?!So sad lor...Last gathering of 211 and no body bothers to post.haix!And another thing...I hate the class allocation!!!!!!!!Now i'm not classmates with yen shen and my other friends... Ahhhhh.Why can't we not split?!Why!!!!!

Haix...now about open house.

Nan hua open house was very lively.The performance and static displays put up were interesting.Everyone was very busy about...Me?I was at the second level...Emceeing.Haix...everyone tells me abt what a lousy job i have done...Something about me not being clear,then cannot hear what i say.Sorry lah!I'll try to better next time lor...Anw emceeing was tough.Talk and talk until throat pain...Still it was fun!I would love to do it again.

So...flyer trip.Me,Mr Lee,jw/and his bro, yw, jy, jh , ys , jaz ,shona, jesslyn, annbel and glenda went to the flyer last mon.Meet at city hall mrt.Haha,i remind everyone not to be late,then i was the latest.So ps!

Then we went to eat at marina square(i think).No wait.We waited for mr lee first.Then we ate.I wanted to eat japanese food but dunno what to order so...ate chicken rice instead.So common but cannot help it...Dun know what to eat mah.Then jing yu so funny.He vegetarian mah then he saw the indian food was vegetarian so he order.It turned out to be too spicy for him to handle.haha.

After eating we went on the flyer.Mr Lee posed as a student to get student price.Hmm,can't say i blame him.The difference of the price is $19.50.So sad, by the time we got to the flyer...No more sunset.Haha.But the nightview is also nice.The capsule wasn't dark at all.It was lighted by camera flashes of the girls.haha

Overall the 30min trip was fun...but abit ps at the end.mr lee bought two of our photos.Spend $30...Felt bad for him...

just came back from camp today.the straits time media club camp.Overwhole, it was a camp where i learned a lot of things.so day 1-yesterday.registration was at 9.so i woke up early and took a train to Braddell.in the end,i was the earilest and had nthing to do...waited for the other guys and then made our way to SPH(Singapore press holdings duh!) where the camp is held.

First came 'welcome remarks and ice braekers' nothing special about that.Then came 'the newspaper industry'by the Vp and head ,editorial projects unit, english and malay newspapers division- Mr Peter Khoo.We got an insight of the newspaper.it was a very humourous talk and i learned a few facts.for example: did you know the printing cost of The straits Time is $1.32 but the selling price is $0.80?But they never make a loss!they gain money from advertisements in the newspaper.if i remember correctly a fullpage colour advert for one day cost 10 thousand dollars!And he told us for a sports journalist, the story had to be written during the match.Because stories have to be submitted by 1.30 for printing.and by 4.30,people would have to deliver the newspaper.The newspaper would have to be delivered by 7.Bet you didn't know this.

next came a session by the editor of IN and the LITTLE RED DOT- ms serene goh.it let us find out 'who we are' in the newsroom by taking a personatilty test.Haha,i'm an editor! Then afterward we spilt into groups to come out with a magazine.My group was a very jokey one that joked a lot(--!!!).we decided to call our magazine OUT!Why out?because it is not 'IN'.Haha.And in our magazine we have a column on relationship.Haha,it inculdes 'how to get rid of unwanted admirers, and tips on courting a girl'Woah!Let me declare that I had nothing to do with these at all!And there was another column on how to cheat in exams with a disclaimer 'try at your own risk'.Ha,everyone laughed when our group presented our idea.Ms Serene goh was also in hysterics after hearing our idea.Of course i was the presenter lah.Because she liked our idea we had a reward,Bags of everyone.YAY.Its those kind that is very cool.red and white.

Then came lunch.Lunch was DELICIOUS! Then came a session on how to get the best stories.It talked of journalists trying to get a good story.like for example in a wake, the jornalists would not go straight up to the weeping mother and say' eh aunty,your son died arh?' that would kill the story right?instead they catch people before they emter the wake.

Next came a tour of the straits times newsroom.we saw the enviorment in with journalists work.But not a very interesting component.Then came a session on how to take the most compelling photographs by a straits time photographer.Yen shen would like this lor.He told us to capture the essence of the scene and turn staticts into people.Like if you had to take a boring picture at a press conference you should capture the shot when they were about to sit down or about to leave.

Next up came a session on razor tv.Its this media that providea interesting video clips on current affairs and things that happen in Singapore.And it the clips are raw which mean that they are unedited.The presenters let us have a chance to interview them.First up came two girls who persistently tried to find out information from the presenters.very funny.second round my school mates saboed me in forcing me participating as an interviewer.The presenters now acted as fann wong and christ lee and we were supposed to find out infomation from them.i must say i did a good job and everyone was laughing with me as i asked the questions.haha,sounds like i'm boasting but i'm not!

Then we had a break and then we had a press conference with Denise Keller,MTV VJ and ambassador for 'The Climate Project Singapore'She shared with us a powerpoint about the world and why we need to save it.The bottom line message was' the earth was dying'After that we had a chance to ask her questions.After her talk i was suddenly inspired to change my ways and be eco-friendly.i even got her autograph after the talk!

The rest of the events are pretty much not interesting.So next day-today, we gathered at SPH at 8.First time in holiday history that i woke up so early.After registering,we boarded the bus to go to the underwater world.When we reached we had a very sumptous breakfast.There was sushi,eclairs, carrot cake, chicken wings etc.i still drool when i think of the breakfast.haha.After that we watched a interesting fur seal show at the dolphin lagoon.

Then we has a marine biodiversity talk.There were two interesting questions posted.haha the first was 'how to sharks mate?'The guy was like 'how old are you guys,14 arh,then i must choose my words carefully'He tried not to sound horny but he failed.When the male shark senses a sexually mature female,he will bite her pectoral fin and try to weigh her down so she cannot swin away, and then 'inseart his claspers into the female genitals.' for sperm realease.Lol he made it sound like the male shark raping the female shark like that.The next question was ' do sharks feel sexually satisfied after mating with a female'Lol haha,the answer was that no studies have been done on this.

After that we left for SPH.pity we didn't get to tour around the oceanium which was what was originaly planned.We collected our certs, and emo-ed at SPh cause we decided not to leave so early as the original time for camp to end was 2 and it ended at 1 today...So we basically crapped there.End of story;)

Haha,attention grabbing pic.Learn from ming hui they all de.Nice right?Me and Phua Chu Kang.Took it recently when i was doing CIP at Plaza Singapura.Volunteering with ACRES-Animal Concerns Research and Education society.Its this great non-profit group that goes all out to save wild animals that are facing extinction and to rescue animals from captivity.So cool.Volunteering with them is so meaningful.Better than volunteering with national library board!Thats why volunteer with them lah!Interested in volunteering can ask me!If next year i can become class chairman,i will organise class CIP!

Back to Plaza Singapura...Went i went there,they had a display area ready.A BIG display area.So the main idea was to encourage people to break bowls.Yes!BREAK BOWLS!Soup bowls...The idea was to get people to pledge to stop eating sharks fin soup by breaking a bowl.Haha,this is very good theraphy for anger management...Should get those very violent people to come throw right?And the broken pieces are used to make a 15m mosaic of a shark...And i am proud to say they shark got completed!But mostly people is throw for the fun...not to save the sharks...But at least the message was spread out!And hehe,as a volunteer, we get to smash as many bowls as we like...To attract attention mah!It was fun.And we even screened 'sharkwaters' to generate awareness and there were people providing air brush tattoos of animals.

And just so happened there was this 'Singapore idol' event just beside us...So gurmit singh appeared in his PCK getup.Hes one seriously funny guy!We managed to invite him to throw a bowl also.(hence the photo)Very good publicity for us!That day was one of the most fun CIP daysi ever did.Everyone in ACRES is friendly.laugh and chat get CIP hours le.Join ACRES bah!

Now lets talk about EOY!So suay,my birthday is on the first paper of EOY.(Ty all those that wished me happy birthday!) Haix,chinese and history somemore!They were tough.Skip all the way to today.Last paper.ART.I attempted to apply acrylic painting...Glad it turned out okay and not a disaster as i thought!After that,we had this streaming talk...Last day of exams cannot go home early to relax....Haix.Listen to all the subjects offered.

Lit,history and Geog- sounds terrible,all that memorising and reading
Phy and Bio- sounds like what we study is very complicated
Cl Lit- worse than nightmare

Like that what to choose for next year?Haix.Headache lah...Lucky have high chance next year i'll still be in the same class as a few good friends.Tablet pc mah.

Study so hard for the past few days-ITS PLAY TIME!

woah...its 1 month since i last posted?no wonder my blog so dead!And i just changed my blogskin.Its a blogskin that was made with the theme'toradora' which is one of my favourite animes!I strongly recommand everyone to watch it!

And since i just went for NJRC today..i shall talk about it!NJRC was a total failure...Why?Thats because one of my group members kept DESTROYING AND REBUILDING the robot, and we didn't have time to finalise the design!He even demolished the whole robot yesterday to make it smaller...Can you believe him?!Haix,no wonder we scored all zero in the runs...

Forget about the robot,why not listen to a more cheerful side?Today was like busting with activity.Poeple dressed up as eygptions, witches and even faires!Well,they were aiming for best image award!NJRC has many awards...Unfortunately i think i didn't win any?Such a pity,i was aiming for the entrepreneur award..we sold soft drinks -together with richie and jeslyn's group...they copy our idea!How could they right?!But at least we had more profits then them!HAHAHA.

OF course there were other groups selling stuff...Theres this group selling coke only want fight with us...Lol!We have a variety leh!Some more come in front of my stall and sell...really...不知死活！If they shout'$1 only!'We shout' $0.90!'Haha then we force them reduce until $0.50 which i think they never make any money for the cans!Hahaha.And some groups who were selling biscuits still had large amounts of stocks after the whole competition!Lol, must have someone like me in your group mah!

And on a random note,i found out that Mr chan actually lives on the same street as me!Just 1 block behind me!I didn't know before leh!
